Well, I did it. I found someone to create a logo for Mermaid of the Plains. I’ve carried images around in my head for about two years, contemplating what it would look like – the colors, the shape. Would it be just a tail in the distance, slowing dipping beneath amber waves? Or, a breaching mermaid high above the plains or a field of sunflowers?

Why a logo? As a part time freelance writer, I’m hoping to engage my business more fully as Mermaid of the Plains. My portfolio includes content for blogs, social media and websites, as well as professional letters, resumes/cover letters, and grant writing. It may take a bit to get it completely off the ground, but having a logo and securing my trademark are the first steps.

Plus, I think it would make great t-shirts! Who wouldn’t want a Mermaid of the Plains tee?
